Grant Purpose - This grant will support the Flint Community Schools' Summer Tot Lot Program, which is a preschool program for children aged 4-6 that provides at-risk youth with the academic and social skills necessary for future educational success. Created in 1955 as a component of the Flint Community Schools Community Education initiatives, the program will be expanded to address the academic, social, and nutrition/fitness development of children, as well as provide parenting support for their caregivers.
