The Vermont Community Foundation

The Vermont Community Foundation helps build and manage charitable funds created by individuals, families, groups, organizations, and institutions to improve the quality of life in Vermont. Grants from these funds are awarded at the suggestion of our fundholders and through competitive processes managed by the Foundation.

The Foundation helps Vermont-focused philanthropists and organizations:

  • Learn - gain knowledge about community needs and deepen their understanding of ways strategic philanthropy can make a difference
  • Lead - nurture innovative practices and invest in the most promising models for lasting change
  • Grow - increase Vermont's philanthropic capital by inspiring new giving and making it easy to give more effectively.
