Wisconsin Wetlands Association Grant
Organization - Wisconsin Wetlands Association
Grant Amount - $90,000
Foundation -
Mott FoundationGrant Purpose - Wetlands provide many benefits, yet only half of Wisconsin's original wetlands remain, and they are threatened by a variety of unsustainable uses. Wisconsin Wetlands Association, the only statewide conservation organization solely focused on wetlands, leads diverse networks to protect and restore wetlands, while undertaking educational and training activities to engage citizens in wetlands conservation. This general purpose grant will enable the organization to maintain its leadership on wetlands issues, by providing technical assistance to a range of partners, promoting wetland protection and restoration, and expanding outreach programs. The association will also take steps to build its own internal capacity.
