Mott FoundationGrant Purpose - This grant will provide partial support for the Founder's Conference Room of the New Headquarters Building of the United States Institute of Peace. Construction of this 154,000 square foot building will begin in early 2008 and be completed in 2010. Located on Washington's National Mall, the new headquarters will help the institute meet a growing demand for its services and outreach in conflict resolution, applied conflict management, and peacemaking activities worldwide. A Public Education Center, with exhibit space for displays and interactive programs appealing to students and the general public, will also be located in the building in addition to conference rooms for training professionals in conflict resolution.
