Grant Purpose - This renewal grant will provide funding for Flint Area Specialized Employment Services, Inc., to continue to provide alternative staffing services to Genesee County Department of Human Services clients. In the decade since welfare reform, the nation's welfare rolls have significantly declined. While many people have successfully transitioned to employment and self-sufficiency, there remains a significant number of persistent welfare cases. Alternative staffing can be an effective mechanism for helping to transition these clients from welfare to employment.
