Brandeis University Grant

Organization - Brandeis University
Grant Amount - $344,087
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - Important policy and practice achievements have been made in the asset-building field over the past decade, yet major challenges remain. Most notably, scale -- defined as expanding successes from thousands to millions of families in a cost efficient manner -- remains elusive. This grant will enable Brandeis University to make a significant strategic contribution to the development of asset-building policy initiatives that address such challenges by implementing a four-year project of evaluation, documentation, and networking. The Assets Learning Project will collect, analyze, and disseminate information about promising asset initiatives and leverage that information to advance policy, practice, and funding for asset building. Brandeis University's Institute on Assets and Social Policy is a public policy institute whose mission is to conduct research to inform policies and practices that broaden wealth and improve the social and economic well-being of American households.
