Kettering University is participating in a variety of neighborhood redevelopment efforts, including the Hurley Medical Center redevelopment project, the redesign of Third Avenue into University Boulevard, and the development of the outdoor learning space at the Flint Children's Museum. Removing severely blighted structures adjacent to the campus will contribute to the neighborhood's redevelopment efforts.
