Grant Purpose - Founded in 1997, the Alabama Rivers Alliance works to protect and restore Alabama's waterways, among the most biologically diverse in North America. With prior Mott support, the alliance has pursued work in five core areas: engaging in public policy issues relevant to healthy rivers; supporting a network of local watershed organizations; raising public awareness about watershed values; promoting water efficiency initiatives; and building its own organizational capacity. With renewal support, the alliance will continue this and similar work, including implementation of the Alabama Water Agenda, a state-level water policy reform proposal developed by the alliance and many partner groups.

Rivaayat is an initiative by Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi to revive various dying art form and solve innumerable problems faced by the artisans. Rivaayat began with reviving a 20,000-year-old art form of pottery that is a means of survival for 600 families residing in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
