Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - This grant will provide continued general purpose support to the Community Based Development Programme. The grantee works mainly with community-based organizations in some of the poorest and most marginalized regions of South Africa, providing capacity building, leadership training, and organizational development skills to empower their members to develop sustainable livelihoods and participate more effectively in local economic development. Its two primary initiatives are the Community Empowerment for Development program that provides organizational capacity building to enhance their effectiveness and the Development Management course that offers specific training to middle- and senior-level leaders of nonprofit organizations.
