Grant Purpose - This grant will provide partial support to develop an alternative staffing strategy for the working poor and ex-offenders in the Bronx. Through a workforce development approach called Managed Work Services, VIP Community Services uses a temporary-to-permanent approach for hard-to-place jobseekers. The model embodies best practices in engaging unemployed or underemployed individuals, while also providing a solid business solution for employers.
