Grant Purpose - This grant increase will provide additional funds for the Genesee Area Focus Fund and its supported organization, the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce, to conduct economic development and education initiatives. The economic development goals for the chamber are to attract new jobs and investments, retain existing firms, introduce and improve products and services, and strengthen partnerships. The goal of the education program is to serve as the voice of business for workforce, training, and education initiatives that result in a trained and educated workforce. Additionally, the organization will serve business needs by linking education programs with the business community.
