Wetzell Wetzell was an architect in New York City until she "met some friends of friends" who "worked as creatives and was blown away that that was a job."
She moved back home to Sydney, Australia, to complete her degree at the School of Architecture, and since then, Wetzell has worked as a copywriter, art director, and assistant at TBWA ? Chiat ? Day.
Now she's the creative director at Bat Bat, a mental health nonprofit that works with schools and communities to raise awareness of mental health issues.
Her latest project, a spot for Bat Bat's "We Are Mental Health" campaign, tells the story of a young man's struggle to deal with his own mental health issues and the support he receives from family and friends.
"It's about the power of love," Wetzell tells Adweek.
"It's about the power of friendship.
It's about the power of hope.
It's about the power of the human spirit."
