The city of High Spring, Fla., is spending $347,000 in state grant money to buy a historic theater that was almost torn down in 2022, the Ledger reports.
According to WCJB, commissioners voted unanimously Monday to spend the money to buy the Priest Theatre.
Commissioners say they want to make repairs to the structure to stabilize it, and they're not committing to keeping the theater, but they may look to resell it after improvements are made.
