If you're looking for a reason to donate to a charity this summer, Jason Nesbitt has one for you: "Through Crawford Gives, I see an opportunity to translate this faith into tangible acts of kindness and support for those in need."
That's the gist of a letter Nesbitt wrote to the Telegraph-Herald last week, in which he announced his support for the third annual charity event, which runs from Aug.
24 to Aug.
27.
"I recognize that genuine change unfolds when everyone works together toward a shared goal," he wrote.
"Through Crawford Gives, I am reminded of the faith that guides my actions and reinforces my belief in the power of community and our shared responsibility to uplift one another."
Among the causes Nesbitt supports: education, health, social services, the arts, and environmental conservation.
