If Awarded, This Grant Would Be Used To Help With Materials & Trainer Fees For Our Suicide Prevention/intervention Classes Offered In Douglas County, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (asist) & Safetalk (suicide Alertness For Everyone). Each Class Has Associated Material & Trainer Fees In Order To Offer Them. Asist Is A 2-day, Intensive Workshop, Teaching Participants How To Do A Suicide Intervention. Safetalk Is 3-4-hour Suicide Alertness Training. You Can Learn More About Both At Www.livingworks.net We Partner With Many Community Partners To Make These Classes Happen For Our Community. They Are Always Full With Wait Lists. Asist Is Offered At $50 Per Participant And Safetalk Is Offered At No Charge. We Do Not Want There To Be Financial Barriers That Prevent Participants From Being Able To Get These Lifesaving Skills.
