Grant Purpose - O'Connor Hospital Foundation is using this grant to support O'Connor Hospital's participation in the pilot phase of the Evidence-Based Practice Initiative, a program with the goal of accelerating the adoption of nursing evidence-based best practices in adult acute care hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through participation in the pilot program, O'Connor Hospital will provide nurse education in evidence-based care and will implement standardized nursing guidelines, leading to the outcomes of a significant improvement in sepsis management and a reduction in pneumonia.
