Grant Purpose - PICO National Network is a training institute for organizers and community leaders from 150 cities in 17 states. These local organizations are comprised of congregations and other nonprofit organizations, representing as many as one million families. This general purpose grant will enable PICO National Network to expand its reach, develop grassroots leadership, recruit and train professional organizers, and increase the civic participation of low-income community residents in order to attack root causes of poverty.
