Grant Purpose - This grant provides general purpose support to Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, an organization focused on improving nonprofit results by supporting changes in grantmaker practice. Grantmakers for Effective Organizations has increased the understanding of organizational effectiveness and its value in strengthening nonprofits, and has used its Change Agent Project to identify changes that substantially improve nonprofits' ability to succeed. The grantee will continue to provide a forum for foundation professionals to share research and best practices, offer tools and other information to improve nonprofit effectiveness, and work to identify and address leadership development needs in the nonprofit community.
