Mott FoundationGrant Purpose - Satyagraha - In Pursuit of Truth is a nonprofit organization that works through the media to transform society to move away from the racial and ethnic divisions of the past. It publishes a monthly newspaper that promotes a culture of nonviolence, peace, national and religious reconciliation, and tolerance. This grant will continue to support the monthly publication of the newsletter to promote reconciliation and nation building. Other activities will include outreach programs to schools, human rights awareness-raising campaigns, facilitating the online availability of the newspaper, and developing a curriculum on peace and nonviolence for high school and tertiary learners.
