Grant Purpose - The program goal is to strengthen civil society participation in environmental decisionmaking in the Czech Republic. During the grant period, Green Circle will improve the communication and interaction among environmental nongovernmental organizations, strengthen the cooperation between the environmental movement and other civil society subsectors, raise public awareness on sustainable development issues, and strengthen public participation in environmental decisionmaking. Green Circle is a membership organization with 27 formal and 70 informal members, including many of the most important environmental nongovernmental organizations in the Czech Republic. The grantee provides a wide variety of services to its members, including information, technical assistance, legal advice, networking opportunities, discussion platforms, and administrative services.
