Grant Purpose - This grant provides general purpose support to Ireland's association of grantmakers. Initiated in 1998 as an informal network and then formally registered in 2003, Philanthropy Ireland's mission is to represent, develop, and inspire an effective and robust philanthropic sector in Ireland. Over the grant period, Philanthropy Ireland will focus its efforts on connecting directly with existing and potential philanthropists and wealth advisors; promoting an enabling environment for philanthropy; and providing relevant services to private philanthropic organizations and other stakeholders in Ireland.
