Community Foundation of Greene County PA

Greene County residents demonstrated their commitment to investing in their own community and their own futures by forming the Community Foundation of Greene County in 2000. The Community Foundation was initially supported by seed grants from R. K. Mellon Foundation, Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, and a third foundation that wished to remain anonymous.

The foundation has become the focal point within the county for mobilizing and assisting individual donors, nonprofit groups and organizations to create funds that support today's needs and that promote long-term investment in the County. The Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable corporation.
