The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation was established in 1926 by Charles Stewart in response to his deep concern about the welfare of Flint, Michigan, as well as his abiding affection for his adopted community.
The foundation envisions a world in which the foundation partners with the human race, where each individual's quality of life is connected to the well-being of the community, both locally and globally.
