An Oregon ski lodge is getting some much-needed repair work thanks to a $299,999 grant from Oregon Heritage, KTVZ reports.
The group awarded 18 grants totaling $299,999 to historic properties and archaeology projects.
Six of the grants were in the "Diamonds in the Rough" category, paying for fa ? ade enhancements that restore the historic character of the property.
The other 12 grants were in the "Preserving Oregon" category for properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places and for archaeology projects.
A $20,000 grant to the Friends of Santiam Pass Ski Lodge will pay for repairing six doors, restoring six new ones, and other work, including locks and weatherstripping.
The organization provides a match of more than $24,000 for the project.
