The San Jose Sharks' charitable arm has passed $20 million in giving to the Bay Area community.
The Sharks Foundation, the charitable arm of the NHL team, has donated $900,805 to 44 high-performing non-profits in the area through its annual Community Assist Grant Cycle and season-long Giving Campaign, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
"Surpassing $20 million in giving is a testament to the commitment Sharks Sports & Entertainment has to the community and we look forward to continuing this important work," says Heather Hooper, director of social impact for the Sharks Foundation.
