The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa is putting its money where its mouth is.
The foundation, which is affiliated with the Winnebago County Community Foundation, is accepting grant applications through April 15 for projects in the areas of arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, and health and human service, the Des Moines Register reports.
"We want to give back to the community in a way that is impactful and will last for a long time," says the foundation's executive director, who notes that the foundation has given out more than $11 million since its founding in 1989.
The deadline to apply is April 15, per the foundation's website.
