Report: Philanthropy Must Play Role in Racial Reparations

A new report says philanthropic organizations need to reexamine the source of their wealth.

The National Committee on Responsive Philanthropy examined the histories of eight grantmakers.

The report stressed the need to repair the harm done to Black communities.

The Juneteenth holiday marks the kickoff of a new wealth building grant program for Black residents who are decedents of slavery in a few north-central states.
