Lauren Boebert was supposed to be voting on the debt ceiling last night, but she didn't showand now she's in hot water for it.
Video from the scene shows her running up the Capitol steps in a futile attempt to make it inside in time, reports the AP.
(See it in the gallery.) "I was just trying to do my job and not think about the debt ceiling," says the Texas Republican.

She tells the Washington Post that the whole thing was "a protest" against the GOP's plan to raise the debt ceiling without spending cuts.
