"Joe's willingness to introduce me to the community will help Vivalon into the future in a very strong way," Grey says.

O'Hehir has been with Vivalon since its founding in 1954 and has led the $12 million nonprofit's growth into serving more than 14,000 people in Marin, San Francisco, and Sonoma counties.

Grey, who has been with Vivalon since 1987, says she plans to focus on the organization's transportation service through its partnership with Marin Access, Marin Transit, and Golden Gate Transit.

"She has a strategic view of the world," says Thomas Peters, president and CEO of the Marin Community Foundation, a major financial supporter of Vivalon.

The organization changed its name last year in a rebranding effort, but the Whistlestop name will still be associated with Vivalon.
