The Community Foundation of Abilene hands out over $466,000 at its annual grant reception downtown. It identified a total of 57 groups that are to receive their share of grants.
President and CEO of the foundation, Katie Alford reports that the money disseminated throughout the year represents four percent of the foundation’s endowment. The grants will fund purchase of new equipment and support for special programs.
