The Coolidge Corner Theatre, in partnership with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, awarded 20 grants to other independent, nonprofit cinemas to develop their own version of Coolidge's seven-year-old Science on Screen program.
This year's grant winners received $7,000 each. Next year, Coolidge Corner Theatre will award another 20 grants.
