The Mary S. and David C. Corbin Foundation awarded new and continuing grants totaling $381,500 to charities and charitable activities that serve the Akron and Summit County areas.
The awardees given with big grants are the Musical Arts Association-Cleveland Orchestra with $40,000 for 2012 Blossom Festival; the Akron Zoo with $25,000 for interactive educational elements at Grizzly Ridge; and the International Soap Box Derby Inc. with $25,000 for the 75th American Soap Box Derby Event.
