Out of the 85 community organizations, South Carolina State University was one of the grant recipients awarded by the Coca-Cola Foundation. The university received the Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship in the amount of $50,000 which will benefit four students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college.
The foundation, the global philanthropic arm of The Coca-Cola Company, aims to support students and provide them the opportunity to excel at a university that will prepare them to be successful in a dynamic, global society.
