Hui Ka Yan, the chairman of Hong Kong-listed Evergrande Real Estate Group tops the latest list of China's top philanthropists published by Forbes China.
Billionaire estate developer Hui gave 388 million yuan or $62 million to charity last year. Total giving by China's 100 top philanthropists plunged by 41 percent last year to 4.79 billion, or $760 million, amid heavy media coverage and criticism of financial scandals.
