The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut recently awarded $824,655 to more than 150 local projects and programs, making it a record high in grants.
Some of the largest recipients of competitive grants are Covenant Shelter of New London with $15,000, Writer's Block Ink with $10,000 and Connecticut Legal Services and Connecticut Adoption & Family Services with $15,000 each.
