The Literacy Instruction For Texas, which is an effort to improved their reading and writing skills, has received a $65,000 grant form Verizon Foundation. Also, the foundation has given a $20,000 grant for assistance during wildfires.
All the grant-making is in line with the Verizon Foundation's aim to help people to live healthy, safe and independent lives by addressing disparities in education, health care and sustainability.
