A consulting firm in Pittsburgh offered a leadership program about management and board service. Their goal was to shape and strengthen Fayette County's nonprofit sector. The courses will improve skills and help the managers to be more successful in the development of their organizations.

DeOrio Strategies Group business owners, Rob DeOrio and Gina Jones are being sponsored by the Fayette County Community Foundation and the Fayette County Cultural Trust. The 6 management courses will teach leadership, governance, strategic planning, grant writing, sustainability, finance, marketing and social media.

The Pittsburgh, Fayette County community believes that strong nonprofit organizations will strengthen their resources and lend sustainability to the region. In addition, the success of the first year led to more interest in the new classes to be offered. The classes are offered to anyone interested in nonprofit organizations.
