Seeking keiki artists to enter Memorial Day Poster Contest Winners of last year's Memorial Day poster contest took part in an official ceremony with Mayor Rick Blangiardi and Honolulu City Council member Augie Tulba.
School-age keiki are invited to create a drawing that they feel reflects the "Sew a Lei for Memorial Day" effort in which roughly 38,000 fresh lei are placed on the graves of those who died in the line of duty.

To date, it has received “extensive amounts” of quality second-hand furniture including desks, pedestals, cupboards and office chairs from a former local authority office equipment – and wants to find them a good home.
