Gov.
Hochul wants to establish a $110 million construction fund to build or repair child care facilities across New York state.
A state program aimed at building up the number of child care workers in New York and a substitute pool to cover when a caregiver is absent from work is also part of the plan.
The governor also wants to create a New York Coalition for Child Care, a partnership between business, labor, lawmakers and state officials.
