Fourth-Grade Students Take 'Bank Bound' Field Trips to Local Financial Institutions

Over 850 fourth-grade students in Lapeer County participated in a field trip to a local bank or credit union in their hometown.

The LEAF account program is a Children's Savings Account Program courtesy of LCCF.

The research is in children with a savings account between $1 and $500 are three times more likely to graduate from high school, and four times more to pursue and achieve a higher educational level.
