The Shiv Nadar Foundation has spent the past three decades investing more than US$1.2 billion to build primary, secondary, and higher education institutions across India.
VidyaGyan is a residential school established in 2009 to provide free, quality secondary school education to selected students from households with an income of less than approximately US$2,400 per year.
By giving better, faster, and more, Asian institutional philanthropies can help foster more equitable societies.

Social Enterprise Is Re-Housing Unwanted Furniture
Weston Mill-based social enterprise Surplus Rescue CIC (Community Interest Company) recycles and finds homes for unwanted furniture. To date, it has received “extensive amounts” of quality second-hand furniture including desks, pedestals, cupboards and office chairs from a former local authority office equipment – and wants to find them a good home.
