Pickett Announces Grant for Wyoming County Healthcare Center

A $1 million state grant will go a long way in helping a rural Pennsylvania county's health care needs.

The Wyoming County Healthcare Center in Tunkhannock was awarded the grant from the state's Department of Community and Economic Development, reports the Wyoming County Examiner.

According to the grant application, the WCHC project aims to address the health care needs of Wyoming County through the establishment of a centralized health care hub, provision of broadband access to underserved populations, and collaboration with local businesses and organizations to offer outreach programs.
