New Dime Platform Validates Digital Health Software

"The burden of derisking software purchase decisions remains unacceptably and unsustainably high for end users," Jennifer Goldsack, CEO of DiMe, tells Healthcare IT News.

That's why DiMe is offering a new sealthe Digital Medicine Society's Digital Society Sealfor digital health software that meets "baseline privacy, security, and equity standards, and make more informed decisions about which ones they use," per a DiMe statement.

The nonprofit says it will launch a benchmarking database later this year to compare products based on regulatory status, common therapeutic areas, and more.

Healthcare IT News notes that there are more than 400,000 health software applications available to consumers and 30,000 for health systems and other organizations.

"However, the burden of derisking software purchase decisions remains unacceptably and unsustainably high for end users," Goldsack says.
