When Aidan Tansey started working at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden as an administrative coordinator for the animal department, he didn't set out to become an animal behaviorist.

But that's exactly what he's done.

Tansey, who is studying for a master's in public administration at Ohio's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, is making "significant strides in his unique field," the school says in a press release.

"The dynamic work environment at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden ultimately led Aidan Tansey to choose the MPA program at the Voinovich School, where he was recently honored with the Marty Wall MPA Scholarship in Public Administration (Nonprofit Management).

It checked a lot of the boxes I was looking for as a working professional and wanted to be able to further my career, but also my education at the same time."
