Students at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind., will soon have another place to learn and work.
Construction has begun on the school's new Innovation Grove District, which will include a state-of-the-art surgical center for hip and knee replacements, reports the Tribune-Star.
The Surgical Center for Hip and Knee Replacements will be a joint venture between Rose-Hulman, Indiana's Union Health, and the Indiana Joint Replacement Institute.
"This collaboration will drive new technological advancements in the health care industry, provide hands-on experience for students, and bring patients from all over the country to Terre Haute for orthopedic joint replacement surgeries," says Michael Meneghini, CEO of the IJRI and a Rose-Hulman alum.
The Innovation Grove District is part of a $102.3 million Trails to Innovation project.
