Pakistan Secures $10 Million for Innovative Climate Solutions

In the face of global warming, Pakistan is trying to do something about it.

The country has received a $30 million loan from the international community to help restore its forests, Reuters reports.

The money will go to a project called the Sustainable Actions for Ecosystems Restoration in Pakistan, or SAFER, which aims to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene in the country's remote areas.

"We're delighted to see this project get the go-ahead which aligns perfectly with the Pakistan government's priority to address climate challenges and strengthen resilience in the face of increasing climate-related disasters," a climate change official tells the Press Trust of India.
