The University of Michigan is taking a page from the Ivy League's playbook when it comes to offering online courses.

The school is now offering a residential online course called the Healthcare System, reports the Detroit Free Press.

It's a sort of online version of Harvard's popular medical school's popular Harvard Medical School course, but it's intended for anyone who wants to learn more about the US health care system.

"I think it's a really cool idea," says one grad student who's been taking it for a year.

"It's interactive, it's really interesting, and it's a really good way for people who don't know much about health care to learn about it."

The school is offering the course for free to anyone who wants to take it.
