Denmark wants to be a world leader in the fight against climate change, and it's putting its money where its mouth is.
The Danish government has announced that by 2030, it plans to invest more than $2 billion in green research and innovation, the BBC reports.
The money will be divided between four key areas: green technology, climate change adaptation, research and innovation, and green solutions for the agricultural and food industries.
The government says it wants to be among the first in the world to put into place green solutions for the entire agricultural and food industries, with " mandatory implementation and follow-up considerations for green and safe future, including land use and climate adaptation."
