More than a month after the Key Bridge collapsed in Baltimore, killing six people and injuring dozens more, the Baltimore Community Foundation has released $15.7 million in grants to help people affected by the disaster, the Baltimore Sun reports.
"That is the most we've raised for any particular fund that we've ever created," a foundation rep tells WMAR.
Some of the money will go to feed families affected by the bridge collapse, as well as help people affected by rising gas and food prices.
The foundation has also created the Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong fund, which supports workers who lost their jobs at the Port of Baltimore after the bridge collapsed.
