When it comes to giving back to the communities in which they live, Walmart's employees are some of the most giving people on the planet, according to the company's CEO.
In fact, Walmart has donated hundreds of thousands of hours to community causes over the years, and the company's philanthropic arm, Community Impact Hershey, has given away more than $13 million, the Wall Street Journal reports.
"Our remarkable employees show up for their communities in many ways, by donating funds and volunteering hundreds of thousands of hours each year for the causes they care about," Walmart's CEO says in a press release.
"With the input of our employees and nonprofit partners, we develop community investment strategies tailored to each of our communities' specific needs."
